| Description of duties |
Dow AgroSciences Discovery R&D is seeking a Plant Physiologist to conduct and supervise research in the area of Agronomic Traits, specifically stress tolerance and nutrient use.
The successful candidate will work with other trait experts in the department to provide leadership and strategic direction to product focused teams, and be directly responsible for
supervising and executing research to enable gene discovery and testing. An in-depth understanding of maize developmental physiology and research experience with
important biochemical and physiological processes controlling the desired traits is required. Candidates must have demonstrated the ability to work in a fast-paced team
environment and be involved in planning and directing the research of other team members.

| Qualifications sought |
- PhD in Agronomy or Plant Physiology or related discipline is required.
- 8 - 10 years post graduate laboratory or greenhouse experience is preferred.
- Experience in an industrial research setting where commercial product focus is evident is desired.
- Previous experience leading small research groups is required.
- Experience aligning multiple approaches and balancing a portfolio of projects is highly valued.
