Description of duties Key areas of focus will include the development of the SePRO portfolio of products and business for use in canals, the expansion, support and development of professional aquatic applicator network business, development of distributor aquatics business and support of government programs. This position starts with the support and expansion of an existing base of business and adds the range of responsibilities included in developing a market and business from infancy to a major Aquatics Business Contributor. The candidate will work with an established team of professionals with the same focus and objective aimed on the development of new solutions for the Western Aquatics Market. The candidate will identify, call on and establish business development relationships with influential canal and irrigation management districts and aquatic resource managers. The job requires managing of an important territory focused on canals and irrigation districts in the Western United States, but focusing primarily in California.

This is an excellent opportunity for a person with strong sales, marketing and technical skills who is interested in helping to expand the canal market division of an established company.

Responsibilities would include
  • Identification, Characterization and Development of Canal & Irrigation Market for SePRO Aquatics Business Unit
  • Conducting field research and product demonstration trials
  • Providing technical training for key audiences (customers and influentials)
  • Developing and implementing segment specific market initiatives
  • Support and sales for SePRO Aquatics Portfolio
  • The candidate would assist our contract researcher as needed in the evaluation, documentation and demonstration of these trials.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and new prospects to promote, sell and service SePRO Aquatics Portfolio aligned with market strategies.
  • Administer sales policies and programs to meet goals for the territory
  • Work with the Aquatics Business Team to aggressively pursue growth opportunities in Aquatics.
  • Due to the importance of the territory, the candidate must manage their time and travel too effectively and efficiently impact the development territory.
Qualifications sought Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural business, agronomy, natural sciences, biology or related science along with three years of demonstrated sales and business development success and a California Pest Control Advisor license is desirable. Experience in the specialty agricultural chemical market, aquatics or irrigation and canal management is desirable. Frequent interaction with associations, media, and industry influential’s requires that this person represent SePRO Corporation in a professional manner. The position will require excellent communication and presentation skill in both individual and large group settings.

This individual will also need the following:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to travel on a daily basis throughout Western United States, with overnight travel required.
