| Description of duties |
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Evaluates and develops recommendations for present and potential crop protection and seed trait products related to weed management.
- Develops components of pest management plans that utilize crop protection products and services relating to weed management, hybrid/variety trait options relating to weed management, and Best Agronomic Recommendations.
- Summarizes features, advantages, and benefits of products in the crop protection and seed line that are related to weed management.
- Prepares and presents formal education programs designed to enhance expertise in practical, environmentally sound techniques for crop protection and seed product storage, handling, application, and use of products related to weed management.
- Provides in-field diagnostic support to GROWMARK Member Cooperatives. Keeps current on in-field concerns and agronomic issues through regular contact with GROWMARK Member Cooperative crop specialists and management teams along with GROWMARK Agronomy and Seed staff.
- Promotes the concept and use of On-Farm Discovery with member cooperatives by developing project protocols to be utilized by member cooperative crop specialists, and to coordinate evaluation and interpretation of collected data.
- Maintains product-related technical and operational communications to member cooperatives and GROWMARK staff to include the production of bulletins, newsletters, fact sheets, brochures, manuals, image files, electronic presentations, and any other appropriate support resources.
- Plans, coordinates, and participates in technical training schools, print materials, and other activities for member cooperatives. Keeps current on technical developments through regular contact with university and industry specialists. Maintains professional relationships with university research specialists in areas considered GROWMARK’s core business.
- Answers member cooperative along with GROWMARK Agronomy and Seed staff technical questions, especially as they pertain to crop protection and seed trait products related to weed management via telephone, e-mail, or other electronic support avenues.
- Participates in the resolution of crop protection and seed trait product quality or efficacy concerns as related to weed management.

| Qualifications sought |
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Normally requires an MS in an Agronomy-related field with at least 3 years of agronomy sales experience
- Advanced understanding and experience with agronomy-related areas including crop protection and seed trait products along with in-field diagnostic leadership, technical support, product proficiency, product-related technical and operational communications, environmental impact, compliance, and technical training.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to achieve results through others.
- Proven professional communication, persuasion, presentation, and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated planning, organization and decision making skills.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and have the ability to travel independently and overnight as needed.
- A valid passport for out-of-the-country travel is required.
