Location Hopewell, Virginia Description of Location 25 miles south of Richmond Salary NA Closing date of competition 06/20/2010 Date position available 04/20/2010 Description of duties JOB SUMMARY: This position will support the Agro segment activities related to field evaluations and registrations of surfactants; the review and implementation of Evonik Goldschmidt/industry technologies to develop new products or applications. Meet customer and interal needs by providing technical support for Evonik Goldschmidt adjuvants (BREAK-THRU ®). PRINCIPAL JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES: Plan, coordinate, monitor and evaluate the generation of biological data in support of Agro business. Provide clear written and verbal communication of test procedures and results. Provide customer support in the form of product selection and application procedures. Help create and support the Marketing and Segment Sales strategy. Provide support to registration activities for the Americas, coordinate these efforts with US and global partners in the Industrial Specialties Business Line, EH&S and outside consultants. Responsible for the design, selection and testing of products in conjunction with the Applications Manager. Supervise project activities and maintain the workplace in a safe and professional way Qualifications sought JOB REQUIREMENTS: Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or similar technical discipline; M.S. plus 3 years exempt level expr. or PhD plus 1-2 years expr. Practical experience in designing, conducting, evaluating biological field studies. Experience in agrochemical industry and familiarity with pesticide or adjuvant formulations a plus. Familiarity with legal, regulatory and registration issues is preferred. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills and laboratory bench skills.
