Monsanto, an Agricultural industry leader, is seeking an exceptionally talented Weed Control Strategy and Development Lead to play an integral role in our Global Technology Organization as a member of our
multidisciplinary Chemistry team. Monsanto’s Global Technology Organization is a multi-functional, multi-crop organization comprised of five broad areas: Biotechnology, Breeding, Breeding
Technology, Regulatory and Chemistry. These areas collaborate to create the products in our R&D pipeline, which has a proven track record of creating products that are proprietary, first to market, and profitable.
This role will lead the global weed control strategy development across corn, soybean, cotton and wheat, and has responsibility for delivering weed control systems that maintain Monsanto's
leading position, building upon the Roundup Ready platform. This role will lead a cross functional team working with Commercial, Regulatory, Biotechnology, and other functions to develop
and help launch new weed control systems. The Weed Control Strategy and Development Lead will be responsible for coordinating the initial development of Monsanto’s next generation of weed control systems.

| Qualifications sought |
- PhD or MS with 10 years of experience in Weed Science, Agronomy, Botany, Biology, Horticulture or a related field
- Excellent communication, leadership, technical, and team-building skills
- Practical knowledge of herbicides, cropping systems and biotechnology desired
- Experience leading cross functional research and development projects in a matrix setting preferred
- This position requires an individual with the ability to drive the development of new technologies to commercialization
