Description of Location Fayetteville is located in Northwest Arkansas in the Ozark Mountain range.
Salary $13,000 to $16,000 depending on degree with yearly increases depending on performance

Description of duties The student will conduct research evaluating isothiocyanates and various types of plastic mulch as a means of developing effective alternatives to methyl bromide alternatives. This research will be conducted in tomato and bell pepper. The student must prepare a research proposal, conduct experiments, analyze and interpret data, and write annual reports. The research will mainly focus on yellow and purple nutsedge. Additionally, the student will be expected to work with other students on various research projects.
Qualifications sought
  • Minimum grade point average of 3.0
  • Demonstrated written and oral proficiency
  • Excellent work ethic
  • BS degree in a plant science discipline
