This position will focus on developing support for Sales in the agricultural areas of Southern California and Arizona. The position will develop and present technical product positioning by collecting and summarizing technical data on new and existing Bayer and competitive products. The incumbent will provide leadership as a local expert on Bayer and competitive products and local agronomic practices. The Technical Service Representative maybe asked to assist in some complaint handling, crop response and product quality investigations. The position maybe called upon for product and promotional updates to key customers, key influencers, and represent BCS at local, state and national professional meetings or update university /extension /distribution recommendation guides. Strategic input will be required to represent and provide field perspective and experience on regional markets, which also may include developing protocols for data collection to enhance, change or update a local product label. Field trial work along with supervising academic and cooperator trials will be expected along with coordinating and assisting in field tours and presentations.
