We seek a highly motivated, experienced individual to assist in developing and implementing field trials at CA Biotech Station located in Davis CA. Major responsibilities include learning and being compliant with Monsanto and USDA regulations regarding field trial; collecting traits, field notes, and yield data; and managing the field trial database. Other responsibilities include coordinating seed receiving and sorting before planting; participating in the actual planting and harvest in the fields; helping with installing and running drip irrigation system; supervising summer temps/interns; monitoring plants and fields during the growing season and after harvest; and interacting with outside crop consultant on post-emergent herbicide, fungicide and insecticide application timing. Qualifications sought The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Crop Physiology, Agronomy, Plant Breeding, or other plant related field, with 1-3 years of experience.
